Please note that some materials may become unavailable or discontinued depending on the manufacturer. ──────────────────── “Junsoku” — a sculptural hat from the Fiber Locs series, reconstructed using lightweight summer materials. The flowing bundles move in a circulating rhythm, creating a piece that changes shape each time it is worn. Built upon airy summer yarns, the design incorporates dread-like fiber bundles called “Fiber Locs,” made from handspun yarns, compressed wool, and other textured fibers. Additional length and volume have been added to the hanging sections, creating a silhouette that shifts depending on movement and viewing angle. Fiber Locs are also placed around the face, giving the hat a strong three-dimensional presence from the side and back. The knitted structure uses raised stitch techniques, creating a gathered, sculptural texture and freely movable volume. By wearing the hat front-to-back in reverse, the silhouette transforms into a taller, more dramatic shape. Each piece is handmade individually, so the flow of the bundles and the way the strands fall will vary slightly.
